Japan was the destination of Top Journey 2019, an exclusive and exciting trip where the Diamond Hearts were in contact with ancient traditions, discovered the latest in technology, and enjoyed luxurious accommodations along with Japanese haute cuisine in the most notable cities and towns the country has to offer.
In the great capital they discovered the Meiji Jingu Shinto Shrine, with the majestic Imperial Palace, and the teamLab Planets museum, which offers a state-of-the-art sensory experience. They also made their way to the Akihabara neighborhood, famous for its electronics stores. Later, they took a sushi preparation course at the exclusive Ganko Restaurant, and dined at Gonpachi Nishiazabu, the restaurant where scenes from the movie Kill Bill were filmed.
In this beautiful city, our travelers admired the Nijo Castle, the Kiyomizu Temple, (a historic monument in the ancient city), the traditional Ninenzaka and Sannenzaka merchant shops, and the Fushimi Sanctuary, which was surrounded by hundreds of beautiful Toriis (traditional red arches).
In the traditional town of Nara, folks were amazed by the Todaiji Temple, where they fed sacred deer, (who are considered to be messengers to the deities of Sinoísm). Travelers were also awestruck by the bronze lamps of the Kasuga Sanctuary, a World Heritage Site.
