Principal componente de tu alimentación sana. Cuanta más cantidad y variedad de vegetales consumas, mejor.
Evita vegetales con alto contenido de almidón, como las papas y el camote.
Come tu porción de fruta y evita las que sean altas en azúcar.
La variedad es importante.
Consume granos enteros como arroz integral, pan de trigo entero y pasta integral.
Evita los granos y harinas refinadas como arroz blanco y pan blanco.
Selecciona legumbres, pescado y aves; limita nueces y carnes rojas;
evita el tocino, carnes frías y otras carnes procesadas.
